Appointments

At the Family Medical Practice we run an appointment only system which means we don’t see patients without an appointment.

We can book appointments as far as 4 weeks in advance for the GP and up to 12 weeks for the practice nurse.

For urgent appointments we ask that you call us as soon as the phones are active at 8 am.

We try to make sure you see or speak to the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see or speak to another doctor.

If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home:

If possible please call the surgery before 10 am.

Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen. Home visits are at the discretion of the doctor on call as it is not always suitable for a patient to be seen at home, and where appropriate the patient will be asked to attend the surgery.

ONLINE ACCESS is available for booking some GP appointments

How soon can I get an appointment?

We can book up to four weeks in advance for a routine appointment, (telephone or face to face are available).

If your needs are more pressing we can book on the same day.

For NON URGENT matters please use ASKMYGP to send details of your condition and request an appointment, or phone the reception team on 01942 481638.

If there is an urgent need for someone under the age of 12 years or over the age of 75 years to be seen by the GP you should inform the receptionist on contacting the practice. We will then allocate an urgent or same day  appointments as necessary.
