Baby Clinic

This Clinic is run by community staff now at Golborne Clinic at a variety of days and times. please check with the clinic.

Childhood Immunisations & Vaccinations

There is a specific clinic for Childhood Immunisations & Vaccines,  usually every Thursday morning, you will receive an appointment via the post.

If your child misses the appointment you will receive a further letter through the post.

If  you are unable to attend the Thursday morning clinic please ask the practice nurse to arrange a new time/day.

If your child misses more than two appointments the nurse will contact you to discuss the matter as these vaccines are important to your child’s health.

Antenatal Care

Routine antenatal check-ups by a qualified midwife: Monday 1.30 pm – 3.00 pm here in the practice.

The Midwife will contact you to provide an appointment.

 

Vaccinations

Routine and travel vaccinations for all ages are available during surgery times by appointment with our Nurse.

MMR/Shingles/Pneumonia Vaccines etc are available by appointment with the practice nurse.

 

ASTHMA/COPD/DIABETES/HEART DISEASE/HYPERTENSION/DEMENTIA ETC

We offer Annual Reviews with our Practice Nurse for our long term condition patients.

You will be invited annually for the review and may need to have blood and urine tests, the forms will be arranged by the reception team or you may receive them through the post.

Lifestyle improvement

Advice and or referrals are available from our Health Care Assistant or Practice Nurse on weight loss, diet, smoking cessation and exercise. These include weight management specialist referrals, and We Are With You for alcohol or drug dependency etc.

NHS Health Check

If you are between 40 and 74 then you are eligible for a free NHS Health Check with referrals to a wealth of supportive organisations such as Active Living and Weight Management Services etc. available.  You can find out your cholesterol levels, pre-diabetic status, BMI etc. and get some great tips on diet and lifestyle. Please book with the health care assistant or practice nurse.

Stop Smoking

We are able to offer smoking cessation advice and support with our health care assistant, or you are welcome to contact the Smoking Service on 01942 481712, alw.hwb.service@bridgewater.nhs.uk,  support is available in a variety of locations
