We run an appointment only system and appointments can be made as far as 4 weeks in advance. For urgent appointments we ask that you call us as soon as the phones are active at 8 am for an appointment that morning and at 2pm for that afternoon.
We try to make sure you speak to the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to speak to another doctor.
If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, if possible please call the surgery before 10am. Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen. Home visits are at the discretion of the doctor on call as it is not always suitable for a patient to be seen at home, and where appropriate the patient will be asked to attend the surgery.
Please note that with the current pandemic situation home visits will not be made by our clinicians, and only if absolutely necessary by an on call GP.
ONLINE ACCESS is currently restricted for booking appointments with the doctor until the Pandemic is under control- for further information please click here to see the Online Services page
How soon can I get an appointment?
We can book up to four weeks in advance for a routine appointment (telephone unless advised by the GP), but if your needs are more pressing we can book on the same day – please use ASKMYGP to send details and request an appointment or phone the reception team on 01942 481638.
Children under 12 years of age and Adults over 75 years of age who need an urgent appointment will be accommodated on the same day.
If there is an urgent need for someone under the age of 12 years or over the age of 75 years to be seen by the GP you should inform the receptionist on contacting the practice. We will then allocate an urgent or same day appointments as necessary. Due to Covid 19 the first contact will be via telephone or video call by the clinician.
